Welcome to 6th Grade DLI!

Hello! My name is Ms. Gallo, and I am so excited to be your child’s 6th-grade teacher this year. This will be my 5th year teaching, and I truly love what I do. In my free time, I enjoy spending time with my family and visiting Disneyland. I love teaching because I’m passionate about making learning engaging, meaningful, and fun for all students. I’m looking forward to a fantastic year of growth and learning together!

Important Information for 6th Grade

• Our AVID binder system plays an important role in helping students develop responsibility, organization, and time-management skills as they prepare for junior high.
• Students will work on more long-term projects, so learning how to plan ahead and pace themselves will be key.
• As the oldest students on campus, 6th graders will focus on building leadership skills and serving as positive role models for the school community.
• Students will be encouraged to demonstrate greater independence with homework, research, and group work.
